The Deductions Supervisor at Winland Foods will oversee the deduction management process. This role ensures that customer deductions are thoroughly investigated, issues are resolved efficiently, and team KPIs are being met. The Deductions Supervisor will lead a team and work closely with other departments to streamline processes and improve overall financial performance using data to identify issues and risks, determine root cause drivers and facilitate discussions with internal and external customers to resolve issues. This role will build strong business partnerships with business managers, commercial excellence, finance, accounting, and other shared service teams. Supervision and Leadership:
Supervises and provides guidance to the deductions team.
Conducts regular team meetings to ensure alignment on goals and processes.
Trains, mentors, and develops team members to enhance their skills and performance.
Deduction Management:
Monitors and manages customer deductions, ensuring they are valid and properly documented.
Coordinates with sales, customer service, and other departments to resolve deduction issues.
Develops strategies to reduce unauthorized or invalid deductions.
Reporting and Analysis:
Prepares and presents regular reports on deduction metrics.
Analyzes trends and identifies areas for improvement in the deductions processes.
Implements process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Compliance and Controls:
Ensures compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
Implements and maintains internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Assists in internal and external audits related to deductions.
Customer Relations:
Builds and maintains strong relationships with key customers and internal stakeholders.
Addresses customer inquiries and disputes related to payments and deductions professionally and promptly.
Other Roles & Responsibilities:
Assists Order to Cash leadership with strategy and implementation of Order to Cash initiatives.
Audits deduction samples quarterly (as determined by Manager Order to Cash) to ensure accuracy of accounting within the system.
Acts as a training resource to other team members. Ensures desktop procedures are updated and maintained.
Keeps a reconciliation mindset for balance resolution and drives for completeness.
Escalates issues and errors timely and acts in the best interest of Winland Foods in all matters.
Apply established processes, procedures, and supporting documentation to resolve deductions with an audit mindset following SOX compliance standards.

Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting preferred
Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounts receivable with a high volume of activity required
Experience within the Consumer-Packaged Goods industry preferred
Experience with SAP, customer portals, and efficient in various systems
Process improvement experience preferred
Demonstrated strong financial and analytical skills with the ability to think creatively and solve problems with sound judgement and a high attention to details
Proven leadership experience in a supervisory or management role
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced dynamic work environment, meeting deadlines with accurate and detailed results
Results driven with a focus on high performance, teachable moments and opportunities for growth
Excellent communication skills (formal and informal) with business acumen and ability to communicate with all levels of the organization, setting a tone of working in partnership and collaboration
Strong to proficient MS Office skills (Excel – Intermediate to Advanced vlookups, pivot tables, formula maintenance, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams)
Occasional travel to business meetings may be required
