Diesel Technician

Our client in Madison is looking to bring on a Diesel Technician to join their team. The position is paying between $30-35hr + Weekly Productivity Bonuses (ability to make $100K+ a year). There are 2 different shifts to choose from, please see below:#1 - 1st shift 4:30am-6am start time, M-F & 1-2 Saturdays a month#2 - 2nd shift 2pm-Midnight, M-F & 1-2 Saturdays a monthThis role is direct hire and is typically working 50-55hrs a week and is requiring candidates to have some experience working on diesel engines. Minimum experience would be doing some work with diesel hydraulics/brakes and hoses. The role is largely going to be doing engine maintenance & repair, hydraulics, brakes and body work. Below is the job description:Perform preventative maintenance inspections, troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild components on PWS vehiclesUse diagnostic tools to test vehicle components and initiate or assign repairsPerform quality inspections of vehicles prior to returning to servicePerform service calls for emergency breakdownsInteract with drivers to properly determine nature of complaint once assigned a taskWork in accordance with all federal guidelines (i.e. safety, DOT, MOT)Qualifications:Experience as a diesel mechanic or technicianStrong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsDeadline and detail oriented with priority projectsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environment and perform the physical requirements of the positionKnowledge of electrical schematics, hydraulics, welding, and diesel truck maintenanceCDL A or B is helpful, but not requiredLegally eligible to work in the United StatesMust be at least 18 years of ageBeacon Hill is an Equal Opportunity Employer that values the strength diversity brings to the workplace.
