Job Details

Electrical Controls Engineer; General Summary This position is responsible for designing, programming & commissioning the control systems custom automation systems. This includes definitions of all electrical components and testing operation of the machinery to ensure it meets all the critical criteria.

Electrical Controls Engineer; Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Produce schematic diagrams
  • Develop PLC and HMI applications.
  • Meet timelines and budgets given for assignments.
  • Be innovative in designs, looking for increased quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Assist service department with quoting and processing Bill of materials
  • Assist the sales department with quoting projects, including field inspections.
  • Generate detailed ECNs as required.
  • Assist project managers in the design and detailing portions of projects.

Electrical Controls Engineer: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
  • Bachelor's in electrical engineering or five years of control systems experience.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD.
  • Thorough understanding PLCs and programming
  • Thorough understanding HMI's and configuring
  • Knowledge of control components (sensors, motor control devices, etc.)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook.
  • Follow and maintain all company policies and procedures.
  • Good written communication skills.
  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • Propose ideas to help improve the company's efficiencies and reduce equipment costs.
  • 20% of travel is required
