Role Overview:
As an integral part of our client’s engineering team, the Electrical Engineer will play a crucial role in the design, development, and enhancement of their converting equipment. This role demands a blend of creativity, technical prowess, and a forward-thinking mindset to deliver exceptional solutions that meet and exceed expectations.
Responsibilities Include:
Leading the installation, start-up, and commissioning of converting equipment at customer locations globally.
Conducting comprehensive product testing to ensure equipment readiness and performance standards.
Designing and optimizing electrical components and systems for converting equipment.
Developing and maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs) for electrical components.
Programming and fine-tuning control systems, including PLC, HMI, and motion controls, to achieve optimal functionality.
Collaborating with the assembly team to streamline construction processes for peak efficiency.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
0-5 years of experience in engineering design, preferably with converting equipment.
Proficiency in PLC and motion control software (Logix 5000, Siemens TIA, Step 7, etc.).
Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications and advanced software for engineering design and analysis.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly to various stakeholders.
Analytical mindset with proven problem-solving capabilities.
Hands-on experience with electronic measurement devices, hand tools, and software tools.
Physical Requirements:
Comfortable working in dynamic environments, including loud or non-air-conditioned spaces during machine commissioning.
Ability to lift objects up to 25 pounds and perform tasks that may require climbing and maneuvering in tight spaces.
Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time, both domestically and internationally.
