You will work with all levels of technical expertise, from entry level team members to members with decades of experience, many of whom are subject matter experts in their own fields. You will engage in a continual learning environment through coaching, mentoring, and on the job tasks.Your key tasks and responsibilities will include:Serve as a leader of People.Promote an inclusive, diverse work environment.Effectively delegate assignments, responsibilities, and accountabilities to employees, in collaboration with Project Managers.Coach employees on their performance and career planning and development. Engage with employees to establish suitable goals and objectives, action plans and timelines. Provide ongoing guidance and support to the employee as they work to achieve their goals and objectives through positive and constructive feedback.Retain employees by building rapport with and developing a solid understanding of each employee’s personality, working style, and goals. Understand employees’ development needs, and identify training and support for on-the-job learning.Understand organization and provide ongoing advice to employees regarding their current and future career opportunities. Align employee career aspirations with priority initiatives and growth opportunities.Accept the responsibility of mentorship and guide employees to be accountable for their own career development. Also establish mentorships between employees and other mentors, particularly when technical, project management, or client management mentoring is needed in collaboration with the mentor’s expertise.Advocate and communicate Ramboll company plans, needs, and purposeful changes to employees. Help employees to understand the purpose and value of changes, and how they affect their roles.Advocate employees’ interests, including career opportunities, compensation, and recognition. Advocate requests to organizational leadership for specific actions on employees’ behalf.Develop growth and succession plans for direct reports to ensure development of successors of critical skills and positions.Actively use Ramboll’s PDP and People Management tools and resources to execute above responsibilities, including frequent check-ins, goal alignment/setting, career development planning, and growth and succession planning.Lead the development and execution of annual recruiting plan linked to business strategy.Support the recruiting and hiring process and the development of integration plans for new hires consistent with the Company’s onboarding process.Resolve conflict effectively.Provide Practice Area leadership with a focus on quality, practice standards, and engineering resources/disciplines.Serve as Project Owner, functioning as a leader in the delivery of projects for Ramboll’s clients.Provide technical and financial oversight/guidance to Project Managers in accordance with Ramboll’s Project Model.Ensure that teams manage budgets, project staff, subcontractors, task schedules, change orders, and project risks (quality and revenue recognition), invoicing, accounts payable and receivable, and budgeted project gross margin.Look to digitize and innovate around our project deliverables and challenge current practices. Find opportunities for continual improvement in our business processes.Ensure that teams manage project conformance with respect to quality and safety guidelines as specified in the Project Model.Anticipate clients’ needs and motivate or influence teams to deliver client service excellence.Achieve positive client feedback as determined by project closeout and client satisfaction surveys.Works with MWC Leadership Team on annual planning and budgeting, workforce development, business practices, and profit/loss and tracking operating performance.Achieves year-over-year growth in internal revenue through the development of new clients and repeat business from clients that are aligned with the brand, service lines, sectors and geographic market.Financial requirements that may include all or some of the following: Annual Billing ratio target greater than 50%; Department Net Project Revenue greater than $2.5MM; or Department Contribution 1 greater than $750,000.Serve as a leader in Business Growth.Be responsible for business development and sales within service lines/spearheads, sectors, key accounts, and/or growth initiatives.Provide vision for employees and clients.Lead significant revenue generation and business development efforts, including cross market, cross service line/spearhead, and/or cross geography collaboration.Drive Net Project Authorizations in accordance with strategic growth targetsLead client and market account teams and execute annual plans that generate sustained annual internal authorizations as outlined in the RAM L7-9 Performance Expectations Power BI Dashboard.Develop new Key clients and expand existing client accounts via targeting and growth plans.  Maintain a strong network of client contacts.Collaborate with other team members to help grow accounts and teams while training and mentoring the team.Foster an environment to create and share a base of information that can assist in expanding business regardless of market sector.Institutionalize clients by helping others at Ramboll develop client relationships.Seek and develop market intelligence regarding changing market needs and investments.Recommend the development and updates of digital content (articles, presentations, white papers).Coach and mentor others on client development skills.Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science major, other degrees where required, engaged in life-long learning to maintain knowledge of contemporary issues and 20+ years of diversified experience, primarily within environmental consulting/engineering/management.Served as a Professional Development Plan/Talent Manager for five plus years.Professional Engineer and/or other licensing and certifications, where required.Minimum Skills and AbilitiesDemonstrated successful track record in general business management and operations, client development/delivery and business development/sales, and workforce development.Involvement in bringing new growth initiatives, market areas and services to Ramboll.Demonstrated strong client relationships and ability to lead and grow a $1M+ client portfolio with increasing revenue year-over-year.Ability to lead teams and create a multi-staff level program for inspiring bright minds.Ability to collaboratively interface with other leaders across Ramboll including technical project and business development teams, and critical support services such as Finance, Legal, Marketing, IT and HR.Please answer the follow questions as a separate document and submit with your application.1.            What do you see as the biggest opportunities for progress or success in this role?2.            What do you foresee as the biggest challenge(s) in this role?3.            What do you envision as the top couple strategic priorities for this role?
