What's the role?

We are leading a major digital transformation, and our designers can expect to play a critical part in driving our organization's total success by applying researched-derived insights through applied critical & creative process, and detailed & principled design.

What you'll be doing:
  • Creating prototypes that reflect a nuanced, detailed understanding of business and user needs to guide engineering, product, and business partners
  • Presenting your work to teams (e.g., Design, Product, Business, and Engineering) and/or customers to receive feedback and understand user needs
  • Producing visual designs from concept to delivery
  • Creating wireframes, journey maps, user jobs and scenarios, task flows, and personas in support of interaction designs for experiences serving our home office, field teams, and clients
  • Conceptualizing and deliver artifacts at various levels of fidelity
  • Analyzing tough problems and think though design challenges in a systematic way
  • Working under the guidance of a more senior UX designer, while still having ownership over own work
  • Following an iterative design process to wireframe, prototype, and validate design ideas
  • Producing work that follows UX standard methodologies, internal guidelines, and also brings fresh ideas to the table
  • Collaborating with other designers, product owners, and technologists, and contribute to the larger design team through research, presentations, and internal projects.

An Experience Designer will have the following experience & skills:
  • Experience completing most UX deliverables.
  • A self-starter who is user-focused, detailed, and solutions-oriented
  • Basic knowledge of the fundamentals of user-centered design, visual design, brand development, and how products are put together.
  • An extreme passion for understanding the user, and a strong communicator of the user's perspective throughout the design process.
  • An understanding that UX is more than just UI, but includes all user-centered design activities from research, concepting, flows, sitemaps wireframes, prototypes, annotations, and more.
  • Working knowledge of design and prototyping tools, such as Figma and anything else needed to get the job done.
  • A strong online portfolio available for viewing.
