Experienced Project Manager

Fresh Roots is a gardening and edible landscaping company that is growing and in need of help!

Any experience with food producing plants or general landscaping is highly sought, but a passion to learn the skills needed is a good starting point.

We specialize in herb and vegetable gardens, fruit bushes and trees, and native perennials. Our mission is to help customers grow their own food and create more environmentally friendly green spaces for customers. As a member of the team you would work on a range of projects from building new gardens to cleaning up existing gardens. We also do some typical landscaping work in pruning trees/shrubs/flowers, creating new planting beds, retaining walls and patios, planting bed maintenance, and cleanups.

Position:

Project Manager

We are looking for someone who has experience leading a team and organizing projects. This would be a position where the individual would be shown a project by the sales manager/owner and be expected to organize and complete the project with the help of the general crew. This would include planning, ordering and picking up materials, meeting deadlines, solving project challenges, tracking hours and materials for job costing, scheduling deliveries, reporting project details to sales manager/owner, and updating customers on progress.

Requirements for position:

Specific-

Vehicle and valid driver's license to get to shop (company vehicle would be used for work).

Experience leading projects and people

Knowledge of landscaping, gardening, carpentry, hardscaping, and other trade skills.

Knowledge of job costing (tracking hours and materials and comparing to estimate).

Organized and detailed work ethic

Great communication skills with coworkers, customers, and owner.

Experience ordering, scheduling, and selecting materials for projects.

Sales experience-speaking with customers while onsite to upsell other projects or add to current project (opportunities for commissions can be discussed)

Operating truck and trailer, power tools, small and large equipment.

Skilled in various trades that could help Fresh Roots grow.

General-

Hardworking, adaptable to varying weather conditions, open minded/thinks outside the box, problem solver, able to work independently, trustworthy, can lift/carry/move heavy objects, landscaping skills a plus (pruning, trimming, plant ID, design, etc.), interested in working in the Green/Environmental Industry, dedicated, detail oriented, team player (experience on a athletic or other team a plus), experience using basic tools (rake, shovel, wheelbarrow, broom, etc.), adaptable to changes in projects, goal oriented, able to talk with customers, desire to learn and grow as a person.

Valid driver's license and have reliable way to get to work or site.

Speak English, we often communicate with customers so there needs to be clear communication.
