Fabrication Manager

Position Summary:This position is responsible for leading the fabrication and manufacturing engineering departments with proving strategic focus, clear priorities and a continuous improvement mindset. It is responsible for the quality, cost and delivery performance of the parts manufacturing, a key contributor to overall business success. The manager oversees and supports all day-to-day operations on the production floor with technical machining, tooling and production planning know-how and enables an efficient and effective production process flow.Establishes an empowered team to meet quality, cost and delivery performance productionCreates transparency for performance and output via KPI and deviation managementResponsible for the investment budget as well as the successful implementation of the investmentsDefines a machine set up reduction strategy and ensures effective implementationImproves the production planning process to ensure stable and predictable delivery performanceSupports and solves production problems on the shop floor by being actively engaged and involved with the team on the shop floor daily.Actively seeks solutions to quality and manufacturing problems encountered in design, fabrication, and assembly. Serves as the manufacturing representative on new product development projects.
