Codeworks is a locally owned and operated IT Services firm in SE Wisconsin, known for our strong commitment to quality and for our direct client relationships. Our financial services client located in the Milwaukee, WI area is looking for an experienced Senior .NET Software Engineer to join their team as on a contract basis to hire basis. In this role, you will be a full stack developer on a dynamic team that is starting a legacy modernization effort. This role will be required to research, recommend, design and implement new technologies to advance the goals of our client and the development team. As a Sr. Software Engineer, you will design, build, and implement software and data solutions for new projects and enhancements for existing solutions. The Sr. Software Engineer will also be responsible for mentoring other engineers and aiding in their technical progression. The ideal candidate will have a passion for problem solving using both software and data technologies. Other responsibilities will include: - Collaborate with the development team to validate requirements and technical capabilities.
- Create solutions that meet project goals and minimize risk.
- Create documentation per project and organization standards.
- Participate in the estimating of projects and support work.
- Participate in defining development processes and tools.
- Lead and/or facilitate solution design activities.
The ideal candidate will have experience with the following: - Proven experience using .Net/C#, Azure DevOps (VSTS) and git to deliver solutions.
- Experience successfully utilizing MSSQL Server (e.g. T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS) to deliver data driven solutions, including ETL, data integration, and reporting solutions.
- Demonstrated experience with JavaScript and related frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, NodeJS).
- Thorough understanding and experience using automated deployment tools to create CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Octopus).
- Solid analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting
- Ability to design/model and build databases and data structures.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience working in an iterative delivery process.
- Must have a thorough understanding of company policies and procedures as they relate to this position. Must understand and comply with all job-related State and Federal laws and regulations.
