Join 80,000 colleagues who bring our Mission to life every single day to enable our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer.Location/Division Specific InformationThis position is within the Cell Biology Business Unit, a part of the Biosciences Division of the Life Science and Laboratory Products Group.The employee would be located in Carlsbad, CA, Frederick, MD or Grand Island, NY.How will you make an impact?You lead the development and execution of marketing campaigns for the Protein Expression portfolio, using a customer-centric go-to-market approach. You will develop a multi-channel global strategy for driving growth in our broad and fast-growing portfolio that enable scientists to study cells and use them to produce proteins for basic research, vaccine and drug development.What will you do?Develop and execute strategic marketing plans to support new product commercialization, product portfolio positioning, analysis of customer segments, competitive analysis, business trends, and market opportunities

Build engaging, aggressive multi-channel marketing tactics to help drive awareness, demand, and conversion for Protein Expression products, spanning web, email, social media, video, events, and webinars

Develop and optimize educational content in a variety of format types in order to establish thought leadership

Build and maintain collaborative Key Influencers network for engagement in conference presentations, webinars, customer testimonials, and other partnerships

Work closely with the Digital Strategy Managers and internal support teams to maintain digital footprint of supported product portfolios through continuous optimization of paid search, organic search, and web content

Lead participation in key Protein Expression industry and company-organized conferences, webinars, and virtual events, finding opportunities to showcase products, data, and customer stories

Support regional market development managers to build and execute marketing programs within their geographic regions

Collaborate with product management and commercial teams to develop sales force training and customer education material on new product features or applications

Act as a brand ambassador, understanding, upholding, and communicating our brand strategy in all aspects of our marketing programs

Maintain campaign/program metrics dashboards to measure the effectiveness of marketing activities; provide regular reporting of metrics, successes, failures, findings, etc. to improve the overall operating efficiency of the team

Track and manage marketing budget at a tactic, project, and program level to ensure alignment with annual operating plan

May perform other related duties as required and/or assigned

Travel may be required (10%)

How will you get here?EducationBachelor’s degree in Biology, Cell Biology, or related life science

Master’s, MBA, or PhD highly preferred

Experience:3-5 years of proven experience in life science product marketing, channel marketing, marketing communications, or other closely related position, ideally in cell biology or protein biology fields

Product commercialization experience preferred

Proven knowledge of cell biology/protein biology workflows and applications, preferably with familiarity of Protein Expression techniques, applications, workflows, and products preferred

Proven experience with marketing proficiencies: 4Ps, marketing mix, marketing channels, audience segmentation, product positioning, customer journey, and marketing program development and execution

Strong customer focus in terms of understanding customer needs, drivers, and buying journey, with ability to utilize VOC, VOS and market research to gain a better understanding of competitive landscape

Outstanding skill in developing and executing digital marketing initiatives, including authoring content for webpages, display advertising, search engine marketing (SEM) and optimization (SEO), social, video, and automation approaches

Experience in management of metrics dashboards and reports, with a strong bias for data-based decision-making

Creative intuition on design and messaging, with experience crafting compelling content at every stage of buyer’s journey

Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesExcellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills, comfortable interacting with internal and external audiences of varying levels

Ability to work in a highly matrixed organization as a collaborative partner who can influence across functional teams and geographies

Ability to translate performance metrics into impactful business decisions

Analytical thinking abilities to identify/resolve problems and ensure continuous improvement in process and results

Ability to drive projects to completion on time with a consistent track record of prioritizing and leading multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
