Hiring FOH, Bartenders & Late Nite Bartenders - Hourly + Tips

Tavernakaya is a family owned restaurant located on the Capitol Square serving comfort Asian food with cocktails, sakes, beers and wine. We are looking to hire a few Front of House positions, especially bartenders and late nite bartenders. BARTENDER KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Our ideal candidate will have a passion for excellent customer service and will be able to work in a fast-paced environment. They should have a good knowledge of Asian food and drinks, and must have previous bartending experience in a restaurant.

- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, beers, and soft drinks for customers at tables and at the bar.

- Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including washing glassware and cleaning surfaces.

- Interact with bar customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing recommendations, taking orders, running your own food, bussing your own dishes, etc.

- Restocking supplies and keeping track of orders.

- Prep ingredients, syrups, juices and mixes necessary for the bar.

- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and responsible serving practices.

- Handle cash and credit transactions accurately.

- Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth service.

Qualifications:

- Previous bartending experience required.

- Knowledge of drink recipes and mixology techniques is a plus.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

- Must be available on Mondays, some weekday AMs and Fri/Sat evenings.

- Pay $8-$10/hr +tips

LATE-NITE BARTENDER RESPONSIBILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS:

Tavernakaya offers late nite hours with rotating DJs on Friday and Saturday nights from 10:30pm-2am. Our restaurant transforms into a night club scene with live DJs, dance floor and a full bar.

- Previous bartending experience in a fast paced bar required.

- Must be able to make drinks and process payments quickly and efficiently.

- Available on Fridays and/or Saturdays from 10pm-3:30am

- Pay $18/hr + tips
