If you want to make an impact in fintech, we’d like to know: Are you FIS?About the role:As an Implementation Programmer, you'll be responsible for supporting financial institution conversions from competing platforms to the FIS Integrated Banking Systems (IBS) Deposit, Customer Information, Currency Transaction Reporting and Safe Deposit solutions.  You'll work closely with implementation business analysts and the client to understand conversion requirements and translate those requirements into specialized conversion programs. IBS Implementation Programmers are required to work weekends (approximately 6-8 weekends per year) to support conversion activities and perform weekly on call support (3-4 weeks per year).About the team:The IBS Implementation Team is a well-established, cross-functional group of technical and functional resources that are responsible for supporting new and existing IBS clients through conversion activities of all sizes and complexities.What you will be doing:Analyze conversion data files for format, content and structureAnalyze and translate business requirements into specialized conversion programsCode, test and debug highly customized conversion programsEvaluate conversion exceptions and errors for possible solutionsAssist in the balancing and verification of conversion projectsDemonstrate an understanding of FIS systems and the financial services industrySuggest technical alternatives and improves/streamlines processes and systemsCompletes project assignments and special projects commensurate with job expectationsProvide input into unique client requests, including solution design and project estimatesMay provide leadership and/or guidance to other technical professionalsOther related duties as neededWhat you will need:A bachelor’s in computer science or information systems or equivalent experienceKnowledge of structured COBOL programming techniques with general understanding of IMS and/or DB2 DBMSStrong understanding of working with sequential data files, including packed numeric, binary, EBCDIC, ASCII and FTPKnowledge of IBM z/OS operating environment, including JCL, TSO, ISPF, VSAM, SYNCSORT, Expediter, Insync and VISION:Results (DYL280)Excellent problem-solving, team and time management skillsKnowledge of FIS' products and services, specifically with Integrated Banking Systems (IBS) is preferred but not requiredAdded bonus if you have:Understanding of Unix operating system and Oracle DBMSExperience working in leveraged open system environmentsWhat we offer you:At FIS, you can grow your career as far as you want to take it.
