- Shapes and owns the networking road map and vision and communicates the story to key partners and the rest of the team.
- Accountable for backlog by continuously refining it to ensure all requirements are clearly described and prioritized.

- Understands how to use technology to solve customer problems or create new value frontiers
- Manages the lifecycle of networking hardware, software and firmware including maintenance, patching, and new version introductions.
- Leads and takes part in Technology planning processes to align priorities across the Technology organization.
- Develops long-term strategic relationships with business partners and industry leaders.
- Responsible to business leaders for development of solutions, scope development, prioritization, and delivery of systems and functions. Jointly develops plans and solutions in a timely and cost-effective manner and is responsible for ensuring the most effective use of group resources.
- Provides leadership and direction for the communication and implementation of new practices to increase organizational performance and success within the Technology organization.
- Provides direction to teams and ensures solutions and development options meet requirements, are appropriately prioritized, and are delivered in a prompt and cost-effective manner.
- Works with Sourcing department to lead vendor relationships and agreements. Ensures quality services are provided in a cost-effective manner and agreed-upon service levels and contract terms are met.
- Performs all management duties including, but not limited to, budgeting, hiring, performance reviews, coordinating and scheduling work, salary recommendations, ensure employees report to work fit for duty, leadership, coaching & counseling, models Alliant Energy's Core Values at all times
- 8+ years of professional experience
- 3+ years of supervisory experience.
- Experience in managing and implementing solutions to diverse and complex business problems that enable business strategies.
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
- Agile methodology experience preferred.
- Demonstrated effective leadership skills, with the ability to manage projects and employees at multiple locations.
- Ability to establish relationships with others and use those relationships to successfully implement projects that align with business strategy and fit within the organization.
- Demonstrated knowledge of information technologies and methodologies including knowledge of technology application platforms and infrastructure, and current technology solutions and application to business operations.
- Experience developing short- and long-term strategic plans and translating those plans into action.
- Demonstrated financial skills such as budgeting and basic accounting.
- Ability to work in a diverse work environment
