- Provides first level technical support for security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, jump hosts, authentication, VPN, proxy, and remote access systems.
- Participates in low to medium complexity company, department level, and team level projects impacting security. Stays advised of progress on company, department, and team level projects impacting security.
- Responsible for basic phases of security systems administration including policy management, installation, maintenance, testing, debugging and documentation.
- Assists in the execution of processes and procedures in support of the execution of network segmentation standards and controls for cybersecurity system protection.
- Completes work processes which stay in sync with security policies. Prepares and maintains operational documentation. Establishes procedures for the Help Desk to resolve minor security issues and problems.
- Identifies, plans, implements, documents, and aligns with procedures for following Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) and North American Electric Reliability Corporation Critical Infrastructure Protection (NERC CIP) regulations.
- Participates in 24x7 on call rotation.
- Experience with at least one of the following: internet security, encryption, identity management, firewalls, jump hosts or authentication systems.
- Associate degree in information technology- or Security-related field
- Education or experience equivalent to a two-year degree from an accredited college or university, with emphasis on information technology or security.
- Proven knowledge of database, network, server, and remote connectivity security.
- Ability to use computer software programs (e.g., e-mail, word processing, spreadsheet, and project management).
- Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a diverse work environment.
