IT Support Specialist

Fulltime/Permanent Hire

Location: Appleton, WI (Onsite)This position is located at our corporate office in Appleton, Wisconsin, but must be able to travel to locations in Green Bay and Neenah. Prior Help Desk experience is NICE TO HAVE. Anyone with the following Technology experience (or strong knowledge) will be ideal:
  • Microsoft Active Directory (LDAP Server)
  • Windows Server
  • Networking (TCP/IP)
  • Cloud Architecture (Azure, AWS)

Client's culture is to guide and develop our people, empower them to make decisions at the appropriate levels, and give them the tools to be successful and feel fulfilled, all in a safe and healthy environment.The IT Support Specialist is responsible for supporting and troubleshooting computer applications and equipment.

Our IT Help Desk Technician is responsible for supporting the client from an IT perspective in a variety of tasks, including:
  • Timely response to user requests submitted via email, phone, chat and the IT ticket system
  • Resolve basic user requests
  • Escalate requests to appropriate IT staff or vendor when necessary
  • Setup and repair PC hardware
  • Create, modify, and maintain users with appropriate access rights
  • Create, modify, and maintain documentation for IT procedures
  • Manage IT inventory
  • Diagnose system errors and other issues
  • Resolve problems with networks and other computer systems
  • Follow up with internal users and customers to ensure full resolution of issues
  • Train new users on basic applications
  • Participate in a rotating after hours on call support schedule

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
  • Associates or bachelor's degree in computer science, information science, or related field or equivalent work experience
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, Windows Servers, networking, cloud architecture, automation and scripting, and security protocols
