Collaborates with internal stakeholders to define detailed technical specifications for the technology items to be procured.
Prepares vendor requests for proposals (RFPs) and evaluates and recommends technology solutions to business stakeholders.
Develops procurement strategies that align with the organization's technical requirements and business objectives. This will involve considering single or multiple suppliers, sourcing and/or strategic partnerships when appropriate.
Devises innovative and cost-effective procurement strategies.
Negotiates with vendors and suppliers to obtain favorable contract terms.
Manages procurement budgets and promotes a long-term procurement cost-cutting strategy.
Maintains and builds long-term partnerships with suppliers and vendors.
Obtains authorization for purchases and schedules and confirms goods and service deliveries.
Manages and negotiates software licensing enterprise agreements.
Prepares procurement reports.
Assists in IT Budget management and projections.
Utilizes PPL’s contract systems to store all purchase and contract vendor information.
Drafts, reviews, and finalizes contracts that encompass technical specifications, delivery timelines, quality standards, warranties, and other relevant terms with PPL legal.
Stays up to date with industry trends, technology advancements and changes in the industry, and recommends these to IT.
Ensures compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards and internal procurement policies throughout the procurement process.
Responsible for PPL IT Contract vendor management and provide supporting documentation for PPL Client audit requirements.

Required Skills:
Proven ability to source hardware and technology solutions from a myriad of different vendors.
Deep knowledge of standard technologies used in a business and where to source those technologies including vendor evaluation.
Strong Excel skills.
Strong leadership, communication, and management skills.
Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
Strong organization skills.
Attention to detail.
Thorough understanding of contract lifecycle management, business case evaluation and negotiation.
Ability to understand legal, financial, and technical requirements of proposed contracts.
Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
Technical aptitude for learning/understanding technical projects and needs.

The base pay listed may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and location. Certain positions may also be eligible for a performance-based incentive as part of total compensation.
