Manufacturing Engineer

Description: 3D design and detailing of fixtures and custom tools in Solidworks to support production and company growth, training available as needed Define manufacturing processes to produce good quality products with a cost control focus Provide technical process support to all functional areas of the company, most importantly to Associates on the production floor Communicate directly with suppliers to select the best tooling and develop the best processes Implement new or modify existing processes with a focus on safety and operator health Collaborate with Design Engineering on new products Provide process steps and associated setup and run rates in support of the Estimating Team For new product, assist in entering process steps and rates within the estimating and ERP systems Develop and support efficient, controlled and consistent methods to share and maintain Department documentation Project management of process improvement or development programs Assist in completing Process Change Notices (PCNs) on existing product and maintaining process changes driven by Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) Utilize LDI’s ERP system, INFORXA, to retrieve and maintain production information on existing parts Be a leader and lead by example, maintaining a strong and positive presence on the production floorSkills:tool design, fixture design, manufacturing process, continuous improvement, automationTop Skills Details:tool design,fixture design,manufacturing process,continuous improvement,automationAbout Actalent: Actalent connects passion with purpose.
