Job Title: Manufacturing EngineerJob DescriptionWe are looking for a dedicated Manufacturing Engineer to drive continuous improvement in our manufacturing processes, focusing on safety, quality, throughput, and cost. This role coordinates activities across engineering, tool design, purchasing, and other departments to develop efficient systems, processes, and machines. You will ensure that projects, goals, and objectives are met within the prescribed time and funding parameters.As a member of the Engineering team, you will: Lead by example to support the company’s culture and values. Collaborate with other functional disciplines to foster a culture of accountability, mutual respect, and teamwork. Perform your responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to: Work in accordance with applicable QMS procedures. Develop, implement, and support systems to achieve cost reductions, quality and safety improvements, productivity increases, inventory reductions, and service improvements. Analyze and plan workforce utilization, space requirements, workflow, and design layouts of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency. Research, justify, procure, and implement innovative technology to maximize quality, throughput, and profitability. Collaborate with production and design teams on product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods for existing and new product launches. Manage the manufacturing development and implementation of preproduction projects. Work with vendors, Procurement, and Engineering to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluate products according to specifications and quality standards. Identify process and component changes to improve the value and performance of standard products and improve manufacturability. Estimate production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions. Confer with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, make vs. buy decisions, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes. Work with Project Engineer to determine design modifications required for configured products. Create spreadsheets, charts, and graphs to analyze statistical data. Use CAD software proficiently (2D AutoCAD). Examine part specifications to determine tool requirements and special materials or items to be ordered. Prepare requisitions for items to be purchased. Back-up Plant Supervisor when on vacation with help from Plant Manager.Hard Skills

Basic CAD abilities for reading blueprints and recommending ECOs

Experience implementing new quality processes and SOPs (work standards, efficiencies, inspection plans, quality plans, basic documentation)

Work EnvironmentThe role involves working in an assembly-focused environment in MN and Belleville locations. In MN, metal fabrication and welding are entirely outsourced, while assembly tasks are conducted. In Belleville, the manufacture of table tops and stages includes tasks like fastening, gluing, and carpet application. The environment includes working with glue, CNC, and Armor edge machines. The team comprises 24 factory employees and 5 salaried employees. This Engineer will act as their own engineering leader with one Quality Inspector reporting to them.
