Medical Lab Scientist (MLT/MLS) - Part-Time, Nights

We Are HiringMedical Lab Scientist (MLT/MLS) - General Lab - Part-Time (20hrs), Nights - Ascension Elmbrook Memorial Hospital - Brookfield, WIWork Schedule: Shift 10pm-6am. Every other weekend/holiday.This position will work in all areas of the lab including blood bank and phlebotomy.$1500 SIGN-ON BONUS FOR ELIGIBLE EXTERNAL CANDIDATESWhat You Will DoPerform routine diagnostic and analytic testing of laboratory specimens independently.Perform, validate, interpret documents, and report laboratory test results. May collect and process specimens.

Perform instrument maintenance and troubleshooting. Execute and evaluates quality control and quality assurance procedures. Document and report as required by regulatory agencies.

Understand and participate in all aspects of clinical laboratory testing; pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical. Anticipate and maintain required supplies for uninterrupted testing.

Assist with data collection or special projects as assigned.

Aid in documentation, evaluation and submission of all required laboratory, departmental and staff statistics/reports.

Train and mentor Medical Lab Technicians (MLTs), new associates, and students.

What You Will NeedLicensure/Certification/Registration:One or more of the following required:

Medical Technologist (ASCP) credentialed from the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP-BOC) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.

Medical Lab Scientist (ASCP) credentialed from the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP-BOC) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.

Medical Tech credentialed from the American Board of Bioanalysis (AAB) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.

Medical Tech credentialed from the American Medical Technologists (AMT) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.

Education:Bachelor's degree in medical technology, medical laboratory scientist, human sciences or education qualifications as stated per CLIA requirements.
