Description We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Service Representative to join our client's healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, and healthcare professionals. Key Responsibilities:

Greet patients and visitors with professionalism and courtesy upon arrival.

Schedule patient appointments accurately and efficiently using the electronic scheduling system.

Verify patient demographic and insurance information during check-in and update as necessary.

Collect patient co-payments, deductibles, and outstanding balances, and process payments securely.

Answer phone calls promptly and assist callers with inquiries, appointment scheduling, and general information.

Maintain patient records and ensure accuracy and completeness of information.

Assist patients with completing necessary forms and paperwork.

Coordinate with healthcare providers and staff to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient operations.

Handle patient concerns and complaints with empathy and professionalism, escalating issues as needed.

Follow HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.

Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents.

Collaborate with other departments to facilitate coordination of patient care and services.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required

Previous experience in a healthcare setting or customer service role preferred.

Proficient computer skills, including experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and staff.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance procedures preferred.

Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in sensitive situations.

Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and schedules.
