Job Description

As a member of the management team, the Production Supervisor has direct supervision of approximately 20-30 third shift associates, which includes skilled production professionals working in our Die Cast, Injection Molding, Powder Coat/Pad Printing and Combination Lock Assembly areas. The Production Supervisor will communicate and coordinate each day the quality and production requirements with the first and third shift Production Supervisors to achieve the desired KPI for each respective area of responsibility in a safe manner.

We are seeking a difference maker who will drive positive improvement within our work processes and team productivity. The successful candidate will assist us in raising the bar, having strong technical knowledge, identify and implement CI, and team leadership experience. He/she will be able to work cross-functionally among quality, manufacturing engineering, maintenance, scheduling, CI, purchasing, human resources and finance.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • College degree preferred with course work in related areas such as mechanical/manufacturing engineering, industrial management, materials management, quality, etc. or comparable experience
  • Three years’ experience in die cast, injection molding or assembly manufacturing
  • Demonstrated results implementing and achieving key performance indicators involving Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and continuous improvement
  • Project management skills and proficiency using Microsoft Office products

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Process Engineering knowledge of hot chamber zinc die cast and/or injection molding.
  • Able diagnose machine, tooling, and equipment malfunctions (strong mechanical aptitude)
  • Demonstrated ability to drive change in a positive and engaging manner in a union environment
  • High career potential individual with runway for growth into higher levels of leadership
