JOB SUMMARY:
  • Responsible for the oversight and initiation, development, administration, risk management, implementation, control, and closure of single or multiple projects for AET.
  • Requires attention to detail and an understanding of AET's critical business needs and model.
  • In concert with project owners, establish and lead the management of necessary costs and resources, personnel, performance measures, timeline and technical objectives required to complete projects on time and on budget for the desired outcome.

Primary Accountabilities
  • Leadership of a cross functional team to evaluate sites for various renewable technologies (wind, solar, battery energy storage)
  • Guide project and team planning to align with best practices for renewable siting given national, regional and local requirements and/or expectations
  • Engagement with equipment suppliers, developers, broader partner network to best advantage outcomes for the expected outcomes of each project
  • Performs basic to complex project management assigned work including: understanding customer (internal and external) needs; selecting, scheduling and coordinating all internal and external resources. Applies project management concepts to projects to facilitate the timely completion of work and prudent cost control. Accountable for performance measurements, standards of associated processes, and utilization of information to improve process (i.e., cost control, scheduling execution, safety, etc.) across the business unit. Assists in evaluating and developing standards.
  • Complies with accountabilities outlined in corporate procedures. Understands and enforces rules set by regulatory bodies as applicable (i.e., FAR, AAR, DOT, OSHA, DNR, etc.). Demonstrates leadership in safety.
  • Understands, interprets, and manages contracts with contract service providers. Maintains excellent relationships with contractors and responsible for coordinating with environmental and other subject matter experts to assess issues. Supervision performs work under general supervision.
  • May oversee the work of external contractors.

Educational Requirements
  • Education Level Field of Study Required/Preferred Bachelor's Degree Preferred Required Experience 5 years of experience in renewable development or project management, or related work.
  • Previous experience managing a team of people in a team leader environment or as a project leader. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to work on complex projects with general direction and minimal guidance.
  • Working knowledge of renewables siting standards and best practices
  • Knowledge of renewable technologies and the equipment considerations that influence renewable development (i.e., setbacks, noise, etc.). Demonstrated ability to read and understand maps, plans, and a working knowledge of geographic information systems (GIS)
  • Demonstrated effective leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated financial skills such as budgeting and basic accounting. Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to use computer software programs (e.g., e-mail, word processing, spreadsheet, and project management). Proficient or capable of learning information technology systems
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse work environment, models core values and culture.
