Job Summary The Quality Assurance organization provides a variety of services aimed at helping our internal customers, which include S&C leaders and team members, deliver superior quality to our customers. Quality planning, inspection, audit, quality information, quality improvement consulting, and quality communications are examples of the kind of services the organization provides. The Project Quality engineer is responsible for supporting Quality initiatives within our Franklin assembly operations. This position reports directly to the Manager - Quality Assurance. While working closely with Product Engineering, Production Leadership, LPS, and Quality Managers, the Project Quality Engineer will help support the development of the quality standard and the quality program for S&C's US manufactured products. Through problem-solving efforts, the Project Quality Engineer will also be responsible to help develop and implement quality improvements within the process to reduce both internal defects and customer issues.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Providing support to the creation of the quality standard for S&C's Franklin Manufactured products and help ensure that established processes are being followed by the team members
  • Identifying and implementing built-in quality processes
  • Utilizing problem-solving skills to identify root causes of quality problems
  • Providing quality support for production, by working closely with the Production and Product Engineering teams on quality related issues and improvements
  • Utilizing quality feedback and metrics to identify design and process improvements
  • Ensuring that all inspection processes are documented and up to date
  • Providing support to the QA Management team on formulating strategies to increase inspection productivity within processes

To select this job as one of interest to you, at a minimum, you must have the following:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or similar technical degree.
  • Minimum of 7 years in a Quality role.
  • Ability to work in a high-tempo environment and interact with team members over a wide scope of the organization.
  • Expertise in process analytics.
  • Knowledge of Quality Management systems including ISO 9001.
  • Demonstrated expertise in problem solving.
  • Enthusiasm, driven, a sense of urgency, and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to effectively multi-task.
  • Ability to lead large-scale quality improvement projects involving Quality, Engineering and Production team members.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing to team members at all levels of the organization.
