Property Maintenance Technician

We are looking for a full-time maintenance technician for apartment complexes in Madison, WI. The ideal candidate would have prior experience in apartment maintenance or related field (carpentry, plumbing, HVAC). Candidates must be able to work on their own with minimal supervision. You will work directly with a property manager to ensure all the needs of the building and the needs of the tenants are met in a timely and professional manner.

Responsibilities

Perform minor electrical repairs to wall switches, outlets, bulb replacements, ballasts, sockets, breakers, etc.

Perform minor plumbing repairs/replacements of faucets, toilets, cartridges, drain clearing, etc.

Prioritize work orders and complete them in a timely manner.

Perform all other maintenance related duties as they arise.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in apartment maintenance or similar position

Ability to work with a property manager and other maintenance techs.

Ability to utilize your time wisely and create a schedule to complete the tasks.

Required to participate in the rotating on-call schedule, currently averaging one day per month.

If end of month turnovers fall on a weekend, work may be required.

Possession of a valid driver’s license and your own vehicle for transportation during working hours.

Salary: $22 + per hour. Plus $300 sign-on bonus after completing probationary period.
