Our client Is looking for a Quality Assurance Analyst professional, who will serve as a member of the Application Development Team under the Division of Libraries and Technology. The Applications Development Team is responsible for enterprise architecture, development, system testing, analysis, and maintenance of systems that capture, interrelate and report data. This includes but is not limited to applications that focus on finance, budget, and data collection and reporting applications. These systems require extensive knowledge and experience developing complex applications, reports, and relational databases. This position is likely to be involved with the maintenance and enhancement of the department’s largest and most complex enterprise applications. This person will be the QA/BA Analyst for a team practicing the Agile/Scrum development methodology and provide QA testing support. Tasks

  • Work closely with others to accomplish project objectives, or function independently to accomplish daily work requirements as a member of the Applications Development Team.
  • Work with and serve as a liaison between management and business units within DPI, external vendors, product owners, developers, quality assurance analysts, and the scrum master to identify and analyze opportunities for improving processes and business systems
  • Leading an Applications Development scrum team to execute the delivery of software releases with well-defined software using an agile iterative development process.
  • Understanding and coordinating feature backlogs for all releases of the system, and all its dependencies.
  • Lead the transition of software features into technical requirements, such as features, epics, and stories following Agile/Scrum-based software development, as well as determine the software release plan and project scope.
  • Responsible for conducting research, analyzing, and documenting system requirements and business rules, and creating user stories.
  • Creating functional requirements and specifications, preparing process flow diagrams, and assisting the quality assurance team with detailed test
  • Evaluate the internal technical needs of an organization and recommend solutions.
  • Serve as liaisons between internal departments and development teams.
  • Define the system and functional requirements.

Tools & Technologies Used: Microsoft Azure Dev Ops, Windows, MS Office, API, web Development, Kendo, .Net, C#, Java Script, Oracle, PL/SQL, Selenium, Smart Bear Test Complete, Load Runner and QTP. Note: If candidate is located in the Madison area (55mi or less), then they will need to be on-site 2 days per week. If candidate lives outside of the area (more than 55 mi), the candidate can work remotely full time. Location: Madison, WIContract: 2 years

Skills Required:
  • 8 years - IT QA Testing
  • 8 years - Ability to grasp technical concepts and communicate to developers in a .NET based development environment
  • 8 years - Experience with Azure DevOps
  • 5 years - Experience using Agile/Scrum Development Methodology
  • Experience preparing business requirements and functional specifications
  • Experience writing user stories with clearly defined acceptance criteria
  • Ability to perform application and system regression tests
  • Ability to effectively groom a backlog
  • Experience using relational databases (writing queries, ) using SQL Server
  • Experience using Microsoft Visual Studio Online or Team Foundation Server to manage user stories and sprint backlogs
  • Experience with software development testing not limited to unit, integration, system, and acceptance
  • Bachelor’s degree

Skills Desired – A plus to have:
  • Agile Scrum Certification (I.e. CSM, etc.)
  • Experience with customer service
  • Experience in Business Analysis
  • Experience working with education software systems at the school, district, or state levels.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing and reporting
