Job Title: Research TechnicianJob DescriptionAs a Research Technician, you will embark on a hands-on role within a small-scale and pilot lab environment, operating and overseeing 30 plants with 5 currently active. Initially, you will shadow experienced technicians to become adept with the lab equipment, progressing to independently manage your own plant. Your responsibilities will include fixing valves and pumps, understanding chemical reactions within reactors, and using chemical engineering principles to manage flow rates and temperatures. You'll also operate control systems to manage heating and pressure, ensuring safety due to the high-pressure environment. Collaboration with researchers from the catalyst lab to test various catalysts and feeds is crucial. Once proficient, you will handle two plants simultaneously, contributing to data collection and operational efficiencies that impact larger scale operations.Hard Skills

The lab is gearing up for expansion with new projects and the construction of two more automated plants in 2023. Cross-training across different plants is an integral part of the role, fostering a collaborative and enriching work environment.
