Research Lead

Job Title: Lab SupervisorJob DescriptionWe are seeking a Lab Supervisor who will be responsible for managing and supporting a dedicated team of 8-10 lab technicians and analytical chemists. This is a hands-on management role that occasionally requires performing lab work and tests. The Research Team Leader's duties also include managing team performance, building team engagement, and developing team members for future leadership roles. The role also involves front-end innovation tasks and method development for entering new markets and implementing new instrumentation. Regular operation of GC, HPLC, and scanning electron microscopes is also part of the job. Requirements & Qualifications

BS degree in Chemistry, or related field of study required.

5+ years of experience as an Analytical Chemist.

Strong experience in leading an Analytical team of Chemists and Technicians.

Experience and advanced knowledge regarding the qualification, maintenance, and repair of analytical instruments; HPLC, GC, GC/MS, FTIR, SEM, EDS, TGA, DSC

Six Sigma/lean knowledge to lead and drive complex problem solving.

Experience in analytical method development and validation.

Ability to interact effectively with customers, management team and production personnel.

Strong mechanical, troubleshooting and repair skills.

Excellent oral and written communication, project management, problem solving, creativity, computer, and organizational skills.

Strong interpersonal skills; patient and tenacious in goal accomplishment.
