Senior API and Data Engineering DeveloperLong term contract opportunity - 1 year plusHybrid - Milwaukee, Charlotte or San Francisco The Developer will spearhead the development of modern, reference application designs and working implementations to define the new standard for development across the company. The successful candidate will:

• Operate as technical thought leader and hands-on expert developer
• Provide vision, direction and expertise to leadership on implementing innovative and significant technical solutions
• Create designs with application and platform security in mind
• Build a working toolchain to power Domain Driven Design approaches for automated service generation
• Act as a “go to” expert for partner Engineering team members, enabling and supporting the adoption of modern AWS server-side technologies and associated PAAS components needed
• Demonstrate a highly tuned focus on testing and testability
• Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals
• Communicate frequently regarding the best practices being designed for the entire Engineering team
• Engage with all levels of professionals and managers across the enterprise and serve as an expert advisor to leadership.

• Extensive application development experience
• Multiple project experience as a thought-leader or solutions architect in a global team, or global organization
• Demonstrable expertise in finance industry, or relevant equivalent
• Expertise in service design, API design, horizontal scalability design and implementation thereof
• Proven experience delivering working solutions to production environments and on-going evolution
• Multiple deliveries that required up-skilling teams and partners to adopt cloud best practice designs
• Expertise in Java and/or C#.Net, on both Linux and Windows
• Recent experience with automated build pipeline tools
• Data expertise using MS SQL Server and AWS datastores
• API design experience using ProtocolBuffers, gRPC or REST

• Experience with Agile application development, preferably Scrum
• Test automation tools like Selenium
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability interact confidently with counterparts at all levels within the firm
• Experience with Python, Pandas and other analytical libraries a plus
• Experience with business workflow automation tools
