Job Description

We seek a results-driven individual to enhance our Purchasing function. As a member of the Purchasing Team, they will be passionate about driving change, and having a positive impact on our processes, business and team. They will come from a best-in-class environment that has taught them what good looks like. They will use that to help transform our current state into Procurement Excellence. Our current state is transactionally focused with the majority of time spent on creating purchase orders. It includes a spend of $50M across 450 vendors which is primarily direct-steel/brass/components plus some indirect-metal finishes/heat treat/tooling. Our future state is improved: focus on the activities that add value, processes and workflows, supplier performance management, consolidated spends, PFEP’s, and lower costs. This position directly reports to the Senior Purchasing Manager. This position will also work with our corporate teams in Strategic Sourcing and Warehouse/Logistics. The successful candidate will be able to articulate and show evidence of their demonstrated abilities to follow a planned approach and playbook. It’s truly an exciting time to get on board, and join our Purchasing team.
