Technical Profile / Responsibilities:- Work collaboratively with cross-functional team members to advise and ensure appropriate testing on projects and serve as a conduit in delivering quality results.
- Dive into ongoing projects and ask the appropriate questions to plan and create test cases and understand what needs to be done in terms of integration and regression testing.
- Provide recommendations on appropriate testing strategies and methodologies for assigned work.
- Perform analysis and identify candidates for test automation, determining the appropriate technology required.
- Using the existing automation framework, design and develop automated test scripts and maintain and update existing scripts.
- Analyze results of test runs and determine cause of failures.
- Document, communicate, and track the progress of defects on through resolution.
- Actively participate in design reviews and provide feedback on features, user story acceptance criteria, and usability.
- Identify and communicate situations that put the project quality at risk.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of testing processes, tools, and frameworks.
- A minimum of five (5) years of prior IT and/or Business-related experience, including at least three (3) years of Quality Assurance, Test Automation, or Software Development experience.
- Practical knowledge of and experience with agile software development methodologies (Kanban, Scrum, XP, Lean)
- Knowledge of test methodologies and the difference between testing and checking.
- Ability to automate, or recognize the opportunity to automate, repeated tasks and tests.
- Basic understanding of typical web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, REST APIs).
- Proficiency with databases and SQL queries.
- Experience in testing both integration processes and reporting that reference large data sets.
- Experience with Dynamics CRM a plus
- Experience with Financial Planning Software (MoneyGuidePro) is a plus
- Experience testing APIs or Mobile apps a plus
- Automated UI Testing with Appium and/or Selenium experience preferred
- Strong communication skills, including experience speaking to technical and business audiences.
- Ability to partner with Business Analysts, Product Owners, and Developers to review requirements, write user stories, discover risks, and identify areas to be tested, and help educate team members on testing approaches and methodology.
- Adaptability to change approach and priorities to meet the needs of the project and business.
