What You'll DoAs a Software Engineer, you'll:- Deliver innovative solutions to real-world problems
- Work collaboratively with others across the organization
- Full stack development on a variety of application platforms
- Guidewire PolicyCenter and BillingCenter
- Microsoft Dynamics (.Net)
- Web Applications and Services
- Participate in code reviews and design discussions
- Work in an agile environment
- Coordinate software deployments and releases as part of our continuous delivery pipeline
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or equivalent work experience in a related field.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Experience with an object-oriented programming language, such as Java, C#, C.
- Sentry will not sponsor employment in this position to holders of F-1, J-1, and H-1 Visas.
- 2+ years of experience for mid-level Engineers
- Prior experience in a programming role on projects involving delivery of web and/or mobile applications
- Experience with any of the following technologies/frameworks: Spring (MVC, JDBC, Batch), Hibernate, REST Webservices, BitBucket, Git, Jenkins, Gradle, SQL Server, Vue.js, Angular, PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, Microsoft Dynamics, Amazon Contact Center, Elastic, Docker, Kafka
- Experience with automated unit and integration testing
- Knowledge of professional software engineering practices for the full software development life cycle (SDLC), including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Understanding insurance and how to apply appropriate solutions to meet business needs.
