As a Solar Project Construction Manager, you will provide onsite management for large-scale construction project implementation projects and provide contractor evaluation/selection, safety, quality, engineering, environmental compliance testing, etc. You will track project deliverables, communicate status to management and customers, and implement processes in a cost-effective and environmentally conscious manner.This is a

Location: Onsite WI, office is located in Madison, WI

Salary: $138k-$155k

Travel: Some travel around Wisconsin

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the execution and practice of all safety policies and procedures by all construction employees
  • With the assistance of the safety department, investigates accidents and safety incidents.
  • Responsible for administering and monitoring safety programs and performing safety assessments.
  • Accountable for performance measurements and standards of associated processes utilizing quality control and quality assurance processes.
  • Communicate to stakeholders, construction progress as it relates to Safety, Production, Risk, Schedule, Finance, and Quality and reports any situations that require management attention immediately.
  • Provide onsite contractor interface, local government interface and community relations. Understands and enforces rules set by regulatory bodies (i.e., DOT, OSHA, DNR, etc.)
  • Develop project Punch List and ensure Punch List completion, validate milestones and /or quantities submitted by the contractor for payment, and assist in resolution of field problems as appropriate.

Required Skills:
  • 8+ years of experience in renewable energy or solar construction roles with 3 years of supervisory experience
  • Experience specifically in wind, solar, and/or storage implementation
  • Expert knowledge of cost control methodologies, estimations, change management, and document controls procedures
  • Experience in large electric construction, gas/electric operatives, project management, or related areas
  • Knowledge of safety rules and building codes, construction standards, work methods, etc.
