Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Aide to support a high functioning autistic 4-year-old in their afternoon 4K Wrap Care class at an elementary school in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. The ideal candidate will provide personalized assistance to help the child engage with peers, participate in activities, and navigate the classroom environment effectively.

The hours are 11:20am-3:40pm, Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide individualized support to the child during class activities, ensuring their needs are met.

Facilitate communication and social interactions with peers and teachers.

Assist with daily routines, including transitions between activities, meal times, and play.

Implement strategies to encourage learning and positive behavior.

Monitor the child’s emotional and physical well-being, providing appropriate interventions when necessary.

Collaborate with the lead teacher to adapt activities to the child's needs.

Maintain a safe and nurturing environment that fosters the child’s growth and independence.

Qualifications:

Strong communication skills and patience.

Ability to work collaboratively with educators and other staff.

Reliable transportation.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 22 per week

Experience:

Working with people with developmental disabilities: 1 year (Preferred)

Working with people with autism: 1 year (Preferred)
