Description Sr. Accountant needed near Poynette! Robert Half has partnered with an organization located north of Madison who is in search of a Sr. Accountant to contribute to their already stellar team. The Staff Accountant will assist with accounts receivable, fixed asset maintenance, year end reporting and general ledger reconciliation. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of solid overall accounting experience and the desire to grow. This is a direct hire role. Responsibilities:
Lead the accounts receivable function for the organization
Assist with the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks
Manage intercompany reconciliation, billings, and transactions
Maintain fixed asset ledgers, depreciation, and reconciliation
Ad hoc reporting and performing special projects upon request
Assist in developing new processes and procedures
Ensure that accounting procedures comply with GAAP
Requirements
Qualifications:
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics preferred
2+ years solid accounting experience
Strong accounts receivable, accounts payable, and fixed assets experience
Strong Microsoft Excel experience
Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills
Ability to complete multiple tasks and projects within deadlines
