Job DescriptionOne of Insight Global's lead safety equipment manufacturing clients are on the lookout for a Sr. Engineering Technician. They are searching for an individual who wants to expand their technical experience and are looking to find a long term home! In this role, candidate's will work with various technical leaders to create and implement test plans, as well as document the outcomes. This could include anything from optimizing print quality to conducting hardware longevity tests. In this role, candidates will have a "project que" they are managing and projects can vary in duration, some are longer term/larger projects, while some can be 1-2 days. It is necessary that candidates are able to work independently, but also work cross functionally and collaborate with other teams as needed.Responsibilities:Develop and implement test plans to ensure that new product development and ongoing engineering projects meet specified requirementsCarry out test strategies to verify the quality, functionality, and performance of printers and materials.Collaborate closely with R&D, manufacturing, and marketing teams to create cost-effective test strategies and plans to minimize riskWork with product teams as necessary to efficiently resolve issues and support product launch timelinesLearn and adhere to industry standards for printer performance, reliability, and print quality testingContribute to the creation of internal standards and test processes as neededUnderstand and utilize measurement tools and techniques, recommending appropriate measurement equipment when necessaryManage printer test labs, equipment, and calibration schedules.We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
