job summary:

Responsible for developing and maintaining application software and for knowing where and

how data elements are manipulated within the various applications. Software Developers

perform system analysis, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting of the software systems

used by the business. They work with the other members of the IT team to troubleshoot,

document, and resolve issues with existing business software systems, as well as mentoring

other IT team members.

? Work closely with end-users, business partners, IT peers and management in a team-

centric Agile Software Development environment

? Understand business needs and participate in acceptance testing with stakeholders

? Develop software following specifications using the appropriate tools and adhering to

the documented coding standards

? Lead software development projects from story mapping, refinement, and design, to

development, testing, and follow-up

? Lead design and development of integration workflows and ETL processes

? Administer integrations platforms

? Mentor other software developers

? Develop new applications, modifying and maintaining existing software

? Document new applications, or changes made to existing applications

? Create automated unit and integration tests for applications

? Troubleshoot application and system issues

? Carry out other duties as may be assigned or requested

Qualifications:

? Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to other technical staff members

? Active and articulate communicator able to maintain open dialog with Operations staff

and other non-technical members of the organization

? Ability to lead a development project by understanding the business problem, leading

discussions with technical and non-technical team members using business-first

language, and designing a high-level solution using multiple technologies

? Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies

? Ability and willingness to coach/mentor others that have a desire to learn

? Experience with Agile Software Development Life-cycle methodologies

? Solid knowledge of object-oriented and service-oriented development concepts,

software architecture and design patterns, and relational database design

? Skilled in a modern, object-oriented programming language, such as C# or Java

? Experience with enterprise ETL/integration technologies, such as BizTalk, SSIS, Alteryx

? Understanding of source and target data structures, ETL processes, and products

? strong problem-solving skills with self-awareness to appropriately reach out to subject

matter experts when needed

? Self-directed worker looking to continuously improve their teams, processes, and

products

? Willingness to explore and understand business concerns and desired outcomes that

underlie issues

? Preferably skilled in modern web development using HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript

frameworks

? Ability to write efficient T-SQL

? Understanding of modern source control technology such as Git

Education/Experience:

? Requires education generally equivalent to a bachelor's degree in computer science,

management information systems or related field

? Minimum four years related experience in Application Development

? Minimum two years related experience leading teams or projects

? Candidates with a combination of significant, relevant on-the-job experience and

education meeting the minimum requirements may be substituted
