WHEN: Our Club at the Y Site serves teens over the summer and after school. Summer shifts are Monday-Friday between 11a-5p, school year shifts are Monday-Friday between 2-7p. No weekends or holidays!
WHERE: You'll be located at our Club at the Y for Teens in Sheboygan.
HOW MUCH:
- We're a nonprofit that strives to pay a fair wage. The range for this role is $12-$14/hr, based on experience
FINE PRINT:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Establish a program setting that ensures the health and safety of our teens
- Understand and implement the youth development strategy
- Provide strong guidance and role-modeling to all teens
- Welcome and register new teens and participate in the Club Orientation process
- Solicit feedback from teens to incorporate into programs and activities
- Implement and monitor quality programs and activities that are inclusive and FUN
- Ensure program content supports goals and organization mission
- Support teens in meeting targeted program outcomes
- Make certain programs and activities occur daily as scheduled
- Take pride in work and appearance, both personal and of the Club and program areas
- Ensure space, equipment and supplies are ready before programs begin, and at the conclusion of each day that everything is organized and well-maintained
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
- Energetic and FUN, positive attitude
- Experience planning and implementing arts program for 6-12th grade
- High School diploma or Equivalent
- Basic knowledge of youth development
- Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior challenges
- Excellent customer service
- Ability to conduct on-the-go projects and activities
- Excellent communication skills
- Punctual, reliable, displays initiative
- Experience working with youth, preferably in an organized program setting
- Mandatory CPR and First Aid Certifications (will offer training)
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $12.00 - $16.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
