Job Title:Traveling Carpenter ForemanDescription:Midwest commercial contractor based out of Minnesota that specializes in steel stud construction, drywall, and other various commercial construction services throughout the Midwest. Project types include health care, education, financial institutions, municipalities, retail, churches, apartments, and warehouses. Seeking a Site Foreman/Journeyman Carpenter who is highly skilled, communicative, dedicated, and knowledgeable.In this role, the candidate will oversee all aspects of a wide variety of commercial construction projects, from planning and execution to completion. You will lead and coordinate the efforts of construction crews, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget while maintaining the highest quality standards.Pay:35-40/hr + Per DiemResponsibilities: Manage and supervise construction crews, subcontractors, and suppliers on commercial sites Coordinate project activities, including scheduling, resource allocation and material procurement Interpret project plans, specifications and blueprints to establish work priorities and ensure compliance with design requirements Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety performance, and address issues/concerns promptly Train and mentor construction crews on proper techniques, safety procedures, and company policies Monitor and manage project budgets and expenses Perform hands-on tasks as required, such as steel/wood framing, installing doors/hardware/fixtures, finish carpentry, or other construction activitiesSkills & Qualifications: Proven experience as a construction foreman with a minimum of 5 years of experience OR Journeyman Carpenter with initiative, and leadership qualities Experience with reading framing layouts for wood or steel framing Extensive knowledge of commercial construction methods, techniques, and materials Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders Ability to read blueprints, sketches, framing layouts, and construction drawings Proficient with Framing (steel or stick), and finish carpentry tasks Ability to perform independently, and within a team settingBenefits: Promote from within. Year-round work within commercial construction. Non-Union Merit ShopSchedule: Monday - Friday/Saturday | 6/7 am to 3/4:30 pm | Some OT as required dependent on job. Candidates can commute Sunday/Monday morning, and return home Friday if they get their full 40. If staying in town, Saturday work is available.
