Description:

The Material Handler/Depackprovides specialized hazard determination and consolidation of chemical waste materials. This role works almost exclusively outdoors in the elements and is responsible for testing, consolidation, packaging, spill response, labeling, loading/unloading, coordinating transportation, and sampling/profiling material while adhering to state and federal environmental, health, & safety regulations. This role is tasked with regularly sampling waste streams according to prescribed policies and procedures. The Material Handler/Depack maintains a professional image to clients by answering inquiries and suggesting solutions to existing or potential problems. They regularly operate and maintain all equipment in a professional manner to ensure optimum efficiency and effectiveness. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Must have High School diploma OR GED

Must have a valid Driver’s License

Ability to work independently & in a team and communicate effectively

Must be clean-shaven (for respirator mask)

Must be able/willing to work outdoors in a variety of elements

Ability to pass a background check, drug test, & physical
