- looking for VMware VDI Engineer
- Must have at least 6 years’ experience in administration and configuration of VMware vSphere
- Must have in-depth experience with build, installation and configuration of VMware ESX/ESXi server and VMware virtual center
- Extensive hands on Design, Implementation, and Maintenance experience with NSX and NSX-T in a VMWare Cloud Foundation Environment
- Experience designing and implementing NSX firewalling and Micro-Segmentation
- Experience with VMWare vRealize suite including VRA, VRO, vROPS, Log Insight, Network Log Insight
- Experience with Hyper Converged Technologies such as vXRack, VXRail, and Nutanix
- Experience with other General VMWare products and technologies such as VSAN, SDN/SDDC concepts, DRS, HA
- Strong scripting skillset in regards to VMWare and NSX functionality
- Must have functional Knowledge of VMWare vRealize suite
- Must have extensive experience with creating and maintenance of VM templates
- Must have experience with virtualization using VMware & performing P2P, P2V, and V2V migrations
- Must have experience with patching and upgrading ESX/ESXi hosts using VMware update manager
- Must have experience with security compliance and hardening to ensure servers comply with customer defined policies
- Must have experience with installing standard IBM tools, server & disk firmware, device microcode, etc.
- Must have practical knowledge and experience with a broad range of infrastructure technologies including Intel hardware, consoles, remote access cards (ILO, IMM. etc.), networking, and storage systems (SAN & NAS), etc.
- Must have extensive Knowledge of Provisioning and Configuration Management Automation
- Must have fluent English speaking skills to interface with PMs and customer
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with other teams, account team, PMs, peers and customer
- Prefer someone with prior IBM experience who can come up to speed quickly
- May need to travel onsite to Deerfield, IL for orientation/knowledge transfer
- Must reside in Columbia, MO area VMware Systems Administrator who will act as a technical expert and advisor on VMware.
- Provide project support and L3 troubleshooting and problem resolution for Virtual Infrastructure issues.
