Job Description: Qualified candidates will have knowledge of Cisco Call Manager and Cisco UCCX contact center and experience with cloud-based SaaS phone and contact center solutions.Daily Responsibilities:
Providing day-to-day operational support and troubleshooting for the network environment (Cisco, Avaya) across voice gateways, virtualization, unity connection, PBX, and more
Foundational understanding of telephony fundamentals - architectures, models, protocols, IP addressing, basic router/switch configurations, network security, voice router, gateway configuration and support
Conducting triage and resolution of voice & network issues and outages
Working on small projects and operational tasks
Communicating and coordinating with stakeholders for voice-related service affecting activities
Learning and adopting new technologies and best practices across telephony, CCaaS, UCaaS, Cloud PBX, AI, and process improvement
Continuously monitor and analyze voice network traffic usage. Troubleshooting, gateways, cloud, servers, network, configuration, monitoring
Backup and work in tandem with the current full-time Avaya support person
Responsible for tasks such as changing call trees, investigating call logs, handling user requests (e.g., headset shipments, voicemail and password resets), and working with the Avaya vendor to resolve major system issues
Qualifications:
Proven experience with Avaya phone systems and contact centers
Knowledge of Cisco Call Manager and Cisco UCCX contact center
Experience with cloud-based SaaS phone and contact center solutions
Strong understanding of telephony fundamentals and network configurations
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to work on small projects and operational tasks
Strong communication and coordination skills
