The Operational Data Management Platform (ODMP) Team is seeking an experienced Cloud Solutions Engineer to guide the data management and data strategies of our application. ODMP is taking on the exciting task of modernizing our application to CLOUD 3.0. You would leverage Cloud Technologies; specifically Microsoft Azure, Synapse and Snowflake to lead this initiative. You would also provide technical leadership and strategic direction for continued enhancement in data engineering, reporting and analytics initiatives. Engaging with our Business Leaders, Enterprise Architecture Team, Business Intelligence and Application development teams you would ensure ODMP team is effectively and efficiently providing reporting needs on the most up to date CLOUD platform. Responsibilities

The Senior Cloud Solutions Engineer supports development and execution of cloud implementation strategy within organization's existing IT infrastructure. The Senior Cloud Solutions Engineer work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

The Senior Cloud Solutions Engineer:

  • Implements organization's cloud strategy from a technical perspective, including design, planning, integration, maintenance and support of cloud architecture.

  • May work with stakeholders across organization to evaluate cloud systems and identify appropriate solutions.

  • Collaborates with product managers and engineers to develop specifications for new cloud based products/services, applications and solutions.

  • Drives the roll-out of cloud management platforms, evaluates its performance and implements enhancements.

  • Begins to influence department’s strategy.

  • Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction.

  • Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field

  • 5 or more years of experience designing, developing, and testing of software applications and/or infrastructure

  • Strong experience with Microsoft Azure and Synapse

  • Strong communication and coaching skills

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree

  • Experience with Snowflake
