Initial responsibilities will be focused on developing native iOS applications. Longer-term opportunities may involve .Net core, Azure full stack development and fulfilling other technological ambitions.

Responsibilities

The Senior Full Stack Engineer Is involved in all stages of software development, including front-end development, back-end development, database integrations, network and hosting management, user interface, user experience, and back-end server management. Begins to influence department’s strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, andwork is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field

  • 5 or more years of experience designing, developing, and testing of software applications

  • 3 or more years of experience with designing, developing, and testing software applications for the iOS platform

  • Proficient with Swift and Cocoa Touch

  • Understanding of Apple’s design principles and interface guidelines

  • Experience with iOS frameworks such as Core Data, Core Animation, etc.

  • Experience developing RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to back-end services

  • Experience with Azure Cloud and .Net Framework

  • Experience with Azure DevOps, GIT, CI/CD, TDD, and Automated Build Processes

  • Experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile (Scrum/Kanban), Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Object Oriented Principles, and Continuous Improvement Processes

  • Experience with Design Patterns, Dependency Injection, Web API 2 and Microservices

  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

  • Experience in securing APIs using modern methodologies

  • Solid experience in writing scalable, stateless applications and APIs

  • Solid understanding of object-oriented patterns and practices

  • Experience in debugging highly distributed systems

  • Experience with .NET Core, MVC, C#, CSS, JS Frameworks (VueJS, Angular, NodeJS), REST APIs, and Databases (SQL Server, NoSQL/Mongo)

  • Knowledge of other web technologies and UI/UX standards

Work at Home Guidance

To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates must meet the following criteria:

  • Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership
  • Associates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.
  • Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.
  • Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information
