We are seeking a talented full stack engineer to join our team. Successful Panjiva engineers are self-driven and embrace all aspects of product development, from domain research and conversations with customers to discussions on architecture and full-stack development. Working in collaboration with design and engineering teammates, help us continue to build the best search/analytics platform on top of the world’s largest supply chain graph to provide customers with unique and valuable insights. You’ll collaborate with a variety of teams across the company, including data analysis, data engineering, data science, product, and commercial, in unlocking value from our data.

As a full stack engineer at Panjiva, your responsibilities will include:

Building new customer facing products and internal tools

React/Javascript development including other frameworks

Database and application performance tuning and improvements

Working closely with integration into the broader S&P CapitalIQ Pro platform

Qualifications

B.S., M.S. or Ph.D. in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience

5+ years of relevant software development experience across various Javascript frameworks.

Solid engineering skills and strong CS fundamentals (common data structures, algorithms, performance profiling, etc.)

Substantial experience building scalable database-backed web applications in a production environment

Strong coding skills in a dynamic language

Performance engineering experience (e.g., profiling slow code, understanding complicated query plans and queries based on them, etc.)

Ability to create robust user interfaces with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and leverage related tools (dependency management, CSS preprocessors, etc.)

Solid understanding of the web stack (HTTP, headers, cookies, cross-domain restrictions, asset loading, caching)

Ability to lead all aspects of product development, from brainstorming and design to execution and deployment. Comfort wearing many hats.

Advanced SQL knowledge

Solid knowledge of Unix/Linux

Nice-to-Haves

Comfort with software development standard practices, including version control, unit testing, and code review

Fluency in Ruby on rails

Familiarity with PostgreSQL and Elasticsearch

Familiarity or interest in new Python development

Domain knowledge and/or interest in international economics and trade

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $71,000 to $139,700 . Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location.

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.
