Job Title: Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD) Technician - HFC and Broadband Fiber Optic

Employment Type: Full-Time, Four Day Work Week Monday-Thursday

Location: St. Charles, MO.

Are you passionate about computer-aided drafting (CAD) and interested in working with cutting-edge technology in the broadband fiber optic industry? We have an exciting opportunity for an entry level CAD Technician to join our team and contribute to the expansion of the US broadband fiber optic and coaxial plant.

Responsibilities:

Utilize CAD software to create and modify detailed technical drawings, schematics, and maps for the design and layout of broadband fiber optic networks.

Collaborate with engineers and project managers to understand project requirements and specifications.

Ensure accuracy and adherence to industry standards and guidelines in all drafted plans.

Assist in creating as-built drawings to accurately document completed projects.

Update and maintain CAD files, ensuring organization and version control.

Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to exchange information and resolve any design or drafting issues.

Requirements:

Proficient in computer-aided drafting (CAD) software (e.g., AutoCAD, MicroStation) with experience in creating technical drawings.

Solid understanding of drafting techniques, standards, and practices.

Knowledge of broadband fiber optic network design principles and terminology is preferred but not required. Training will be provided.

Attention to detail and ability to produce accurate and precise drawings.

Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.

Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and software.
