You will work with all levels of expertise from entry level team members to members with decades of experience, many of whom are subject matter experts in their fields. Consultants and Managers are part of a continual learning environment where they learn through coaching, mentoring and on-the-job tasks. The duties of the position include:Conducting Site Investigations, including drilling oversight and logging, monitoring well installation, soil and groundwater sampling as well as subsurface and indoor air monitoring.Providing oversight and direction of field activities and communicate with senior staff;Assisting in the development of work plans for field implementation;Assisting with preparing reports and deliverables for submittal to clients and regulatory agencies;Assisting with project schedules and budgets; andWorking in diverse and multi-user team environments.Your starting point for constant growthFrom the moment you join Ramboll, we will support your personal and professional development so that you grow with the company. For this role, we believe your starting point is:Minimum requirement is Bachelor’s Degree in Hydrogeology, Geology, or Geosciences.Master’s Degree in related fields a plus.Approximately 2-3 years of experience in Environmental Consulting/Geology.OSHA 40-hour Hazardous Waste Operations (HAZWOPER) certified with current 8-hour annual refresher training.Experience with Phase II Environmental Site Assessments and site investigations including; collecting air, soil and groundwater samples, logging soil borings, installing and sampling monitoring wells and subsequent data analysis.Experience with Phase I Environmental Site Assessments is a plus.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Excellent time management skills with ability to multitask.Capability to work both independently and as part of a teamCandidates must be willing to travel up to 25-30% average over the year and possess a valid driver’s license. Travel may include overnight stays and may be out of state. Travel duration may range from 1-10 days, depending upon the specific requirements of each project.Physical requirements of the position include but are not limited to; exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently and/or negligible force constantly to move objects. Must be able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, sit, push/pull, lift and grasp. Employee may be subjected to frequent repetitive motions, weather conditions such as extreme heat/cold, loud noises and hazards (i.e.: proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles).Worker may be required to wear personal protective equipment up to and including a respirator and protective clothing due to potential exposure to chemicals, fumes, odors, dusts, gases or poor ventilation.
