Inside Sale Representative responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:Inside Sales Representative is a key contributor to the sales cycle supporting overall Lead generation and management process. They will be responsible for identification and qualification of potential customers through various channels while building a relationship to understand and meet clients’ needs. This role requires an understanding of inside sales in a life science or Contract research organization. Understanding of development of new contacts and leads through various approaches is key. Working with business development and account managers to drive to sales targets is a key objective for the role.Qualify leads from digital marketing campaigns, conferences, references, tradeshows, etc.Follow up on existing cold and warm leads to re-engage them in the sales processParticipate in lead generation strategies, such as cold calling/emailing, to identify business prospects and create/maintain a list of potential customersResearch potential leads from business directories, web searches, or digital resourcesDevelop sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts, soliciting new accounts, building rapport, providing technical information and explanations, and preparing quotations.Further develop accounts by checking customer’s buying history, suggesting related and new items (cross sell), and explaining technical featuresPerform gap analysis in stagnant or inactive accountsProactively follow up with customers to get their feedback, guarantee their satisfaction and develop ideas for pitch modification to more successfully advertise productsMaintain a log of which customers have been contacted, the outcome of each interaction and issues that need to be flagged for follow upTrack weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance and sales metricsBuild pipelines with channel partners and team members to close salesCollaborate with professionals from other departments to identify improvements to product offerings, sales education, marketing strategies and other business-related topicsProvide customer related feedback to the Business Development Managers, Product Managers and Marketing TeamsAssess competitors by analyzing and summarizing competitor information and trendsMaintain comprehensive and accurate records in the CRM; assist with CRM clean-upInput leads, contacts, accounts and opportunities into the company CRM and maintain the accuracy of these records to timeframes as directed by sales managementParticipate in trade shows, vendor shows, and related activities as deemed necessaryPerform other duties and lead special projects as required and assigned
