Sales Manager for Ready Mix Concrete Operation
The Schreiter Companies are looking for a Sales Manager who is personable, motivated, and organized to join our team. We are a local family-owned and operated company that prides ourselves on providing excellent quality and service to our customers.
The Sales Manager position oversees existing customers and generates new customer accounts. Sales Manager needs to be well respected in the construction industry with a desire to work hard and be successful. Sales Manager reports directly to the Vice President.
Qualifications:
· High School Diploma, a bachelor's degree preferred.
· Sales experience in the construction industry is required and experience in the ready mix concrete industry is preferred.
· The ideal candidate is local to the St. Charles County Missouri regional area.
· Technical knowledge of concrete and mix designs, ACI-Level I Certification preferred.
· Self-motivated, organized, and efficient
· Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
· Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of applications.
· Valid driver's license with a driving record that meets company safety standards.

· Strong verbal and written communications.
· Ability to maintain professionalism and skill when dealing with high-pressure customer situations.
· Strong ability for creativity and problem solving.
· Ability to plan and prioritize tasks and to work independently and with a team.
· Flexibility and adaptability to work with a diverse group of customers.

· Ability to read and understand concrete specifications.
· Technical knowledge of mix designs and concrete admixtures and value-added products such as fibers and colors.
· Ability to build relationships and understand and relate to others.
Responsibilities:
· Responsible for all aspects of sales/revenue generation; from lead generation through collection while maintaining and improving current customer relationships.
· Effectively communicate with operating personnel to ensure plants are meeting customer needs and that proper inventory levels, particularly key products, are sufficiently maintained.
· Work as a team with Operations, Dispatch, and Quality Control, as required, for customer service, project status reports, and resolution of issues.
· ACI-Level I Certification or willingness to obtain it.
· Develop and maintain business relationships with customers, vendors, and the community.
· Build and maintain strong customer relationships with decision makers that select concrete suppliers. Acquire new ready mix accounts by establishing relationships with potential customers.
· Maintain accurate records of all sales and activities including sales calls, bids, closed sales and follow up activities.
· Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes and ensure that they are communicated and implemented.
· Provide job site presence and address and resolve customer inquiries, requests, and complaints.
· Provide technical guidance and recommendations for the protection of both the customer and the company.
· Participate in networking and industry groups to develop relationships.
