Systems Engineer I

The Systems Engineer I is responsible for maintaining and supporting the firm's servers and infrastructure by ensuring our systems are operational. The Systems Engineers are responsible for assessing systems, providing solutions to issues that arise and maintaining systems in a hybrid environment. This role will specifically be assigned to the Messaging / Collaboration team, supporting Exchange/O365 environments.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesCreating control features to ensure systems effectively meet the organization’s quality standards.Troubleshoot and communicate with teams to come up with solutions.Cross train teams on run books and troubleshooting techniques.Ensuring that an organization is operating at maximum efficiency, from manufacturing to distribution.Speaking to and collaborating with a variety of people, such as, vendors, management, IT staff and other associates during the creation and maintenance of a system. Working with other parts of O365 when needed.QualificationsDevelop solutions to problems, as well as manage multiple issues at the same timeAbility to use logic and reasoning when troubleshooting difficult issuesAbility to think outside the box; imagine innovative effective solutions and designsUnderstanding and appropriately responding to feedbackStrong oral and written communication skillsAbility to collaborate effectively with other team membersEducation and ExperienceBachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Information Systems, or equivalent experience requiredPrevious experience in a technology support-related role; 1+ year experience in System Administration preferred
