Job Title: Accounts Payable ClerkJob DescriptionWe are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to perform clerical duties relating to accounts payable. You will be responsible for verifying, computing, matching, balancing, and posting invoices. This position also includes analyzing invoices for accuracy, investigating discrepancies, and performing other accounting activities such as maintaining the general ledger and preparing various accounting statements, reconciliations, and financial reports.Responsibilities
Process invoices for a group of vendors (approximately 1200 invoices per month).
Prepare month-end accrual journal entries.
Communicate with various individuals within and outside the organization to ensure timely and accurate vendor payments. Daily interactions include Engineers, Management, Purchasing, and Receiving.
Audit vendor invoicing by analyzing purchase orders, receiving documents, and invoices.
Perform additional duties, projects, and special tasks as assigned.
Assist in month-end close activities.
Essential Skills
Experience in accounts payable and invoice processing.
High volume accounts payable experience.
Data entry proficiency.
Customer service skills.
Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Associates Degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance, or equivalent knowledge and experience.
Proven ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks within time constraints.
Experience with accounting software (Visibility preferred).
Accurate and timely data input skills.
Proficiency in 10-Key by touch.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of individuals.
Willingness to work the last Saturday of every month to assist with month-end close.
Work EnvironmentThe position is scheduled Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM with some flexibility. This role requires 100% in-office presence and is best suited for individuals who prefer a focused, heads-down work environment.
